Life in India is an Indian based photo sharing group on Flickr looking to observe the inner walks of life in India from a cultural perspective. We believe that this is a collective effort to know, explore and collate the valuable Indian shots from dispersed platforms meaningfully. The most interesting entries,discussion threads and other activities in Life in India pool will be published in the official blog. This was an old picture of my grandmother's that I recently restored and enlarged. It was taken in the 30's when she was in college, before her marriage. Inspired by this photo I dedicated an essay to my grandmother in October 2008, which you can read at
